why public funding
money most obvious
reduces start-up risk
keep your IP
public funds don't want your IP
They succeed if you succeed
they have to goal to look good. If you succeed the y do
Artistic freedom
they trust you to be the expert
Less legal trouble
these are the upsides here the downsides
you lose some independence
- foreigm influence
time & effort
it takes time to get the funding (papers) milesstones tracking
your game matters
the ggame and the fund must fit -
look for the right matching fund
dumb money
you can not exspect development, marketing support
some strings attached
some funds have to be payed backed
they are not free
you have to deliver something - prototypes etc.
not a business plan
it's not a valid future perspective
don't get adicted relying on pulic funds
on public funds
game and digital funds (like nordic game fund)
economic funds
start up fundings - they want you th have employies
go to your local chamber of comerce
art funds
you promote yourself as aserious artist
research funds
targeted at technology
finacial spectrum
conditional loans
you pay back if you are successfull
